What initially began as a small seed of compassion in one doctor's mind has now blossomed into a shared vision within the Southern California community of pilots and doctors. Our shared goal is to provide humanitarian care to our fellow human beings and share the message of hope found in the Gospel.

The humanitarian services provided by Manos Con Alas, including healthcare, food, and other assistance, are offered without any consideration of an individual's beliefs or financial capability. We welcome everyone. In the past, and as a firm commitment for the future, there has never been nor will there ever be any charge for the services rendered by Manos Con Alas Ministries.

We actively seek individuals and resources to enhance our mission. This includes recruiting pilots, aircraft, doctors, dentists, pharmacists, chiropractors, optometrists, nurses, physician assistants, and other healthcare providers. Additionally, we welcome Spanish translators, cooks, and even handy individuals to assist with construction projects and the upkeep of our mission clinic sites and equipment. We collaborate with other organizations that have permanent facilities in the regions we serve, and our mobile dental unit allows us to provide care anywhere it is needed.

During each mission trip, two to four aircraft take off from Dr. Budincich's home airport in El Monte, California, carrying a team of up to 18 volunteers. This dedicated group comprises physicians, chiropractors, nurses, nurse practitioners, translators, and other skilled individuals, along with laypeople who provide essential support to the medical staff. These missions involve the regular operation of free clinics across Baja Norte, occasionally extending to mainland Mexico and underserved areas in the Southwestern United States. Historically, Manos Con Alas' primary focus has been on northern Baja, with sporadic journeys to southern Baja and a notable relief mission to Haiti in 2010 following a disaster.
